Believe Your Justice

OK, I couldn't pass this one up. I ran across this trailer the other day and I haven't been able to stop thinking about how ridiculous and funny it is.

It is for the Japanese game Metal Wolf Chaos - a game which pits a fictional President of the United States, Michael Wilson, versus his arch-nemesis Vice-President Richard Hawk ... both of whom apparently enjoy zipping around the nation in super-powered battle mecha.

Judging by the trailer this game hits on so many of the evil-US-government memes from the past decade it is almost chilling, though in it's own Engrish way it comes off as preposterously funny. It is interesting to watch this, though, knowing that this is how another society internally views your own; it's a bit like overhearing a private conversation about your family.

But it apparently has everything: a wicked vice president, a maverick president, a complicit mainstream media and explosions galore. And of course 20ft-tall mecha with guns popping out of every orifice.
